Who is Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is a Canadian actor, musician and director who was born in Beirut on the 2nd September 1964. Like many actors before him, his first roles were on the stage and on television, before his first film was released in 1986, called Youngblood. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he released a series of films that brought his name into the consciousness of the public, including Point Break and Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure, as well as its sequel.

After a series of box office failures, came the trilogy of Matrix movies starting in 1999, which turned him into an action star, despite the sequels receiving mixed reviews. He has generally been typecast as the action star and this continued further into his career, including in 2014 when he played the lead role in John Wick and its subsequent sequels, all of which were commercial successes.

Away from acting, Reeves has directed films and documentaries, particularly focused on martial arts, as well as playing the bass guitar in a band and writing wherever possible. With his unique and defining style, his quotes offer an insight into his mindset and how he has tried to live his life.
